Our role in the industry

Having most of our production assets in Romania, Rompetrol is one of the largest taxpayers of the country. The company is also an important contributor to the local economies in all the countries where we have operations.

We have a large network of suppliers and long-term business partners connected to all our activities. It is a highly skilled and complex field and we are working together to further develop this industry that sustained economic development over the years.

KazMunayGas anniversary - 15 years in Romania and in the Black Sea region

In August 2007, KazMunayGas, the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan, took over Rompetrol, a Romanian company with over 4 decades of expertise in the oil and gas industry.

The energy fueled the 15-year partnership between Rompetrol, the main brand of KMG International, and its sole shareholder, KazMunayGas, just as with lot of energy we were able to contribute to the implementation of numerous projects and partnerships.
